Angel Alfonso Mendoza
Apr 20, 2018Angel was born in Fajardo Puerto Rico on August 24, 1967 to his parents Jose Anibal Mendoza Sr. of Florida and Zenaida Alamo of Hartford CT. Angel spent his early years growing up in Taunton Massachusetts, his larger than life personality was loved by all who met him. There he enjoyed life with his parents and his 4 siblings, Jose Anibal Mendoza Jr, Marta Z. Mendoza, Liz M. Mendoza and Maria A. Vazquez. During Angel's young adult life he and his family moved to Hartford CT. Angel worked in the social services field providing support to individuals with disabilities and the elderly. Angel was truly loved by his cliental and made long lasting friendships with his co-workers. Angel BKA as Gilligan was also known for his love of music, Elvis and his artistic abilities. Angel loved to draw and was hired to create business signs for clubs as well as create flyers and poster boards for local activities in Connecticut. Angel also was a DJ. Angel loved spinning records at parties and festivities. When he wasn't performing in public he was always practicing at home. On the days that Angel wasn't working you can hear him spinning records on his technics SL- 1200's from down the street of his house. Angel's legacy lives on via his sons Angel Alexis Mendoza of East Hartford, Jordan Presley Mendoza of Hartford and his step daughter Destiny Vazquez of Hartford. Gilligan truly loved his children. Angel legacy lives on via his 5 grandchildren Logan Mendoza, Kaleb Mendoza, Sapphire Mendoza, Jade Mendoza and Ivellis Mendoza. Angel was a family man. He loved his mother to the moon and back. Angel always cared for his mother and made sure she was always ok. Angel also leaves countless of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
